Center for Contemporary Conflict at the Naval Postgraduate School: Toward a Post-Arctic World

Explore the Arctic from home--if you have a high speed connection. Load Google Earth 5 (beta); then, search the Arctic Ocean. This is quite amazing and entertaining. There is a feature that allows one to see the monthly ice extent from 1979 to 2008. Zoom way in to see many links. Just don't forget that the Arctic is big; once you zoom in, you only see a tiny part of everything that is there.
